MURRIETA, CA — Murrieta's 20th anniversary Veterans Day Parade took place Friday, and the turnout was high.
The parade kicked off at 10 a.m. on Washington Avenue at Ivy Street with the singing of the national anthem and a flyover featuring F-16s from the 314th Fighter Squadron, Holloman AFB New Mexico.
The parade wrapped up at Town Square Park (11 Town Square) at the Murrieta Rotary’s Field of Honor where more than 2,000 full-sized American flags have been unfurled to honor both local and national service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice. The Field of Honor is on display through Nov. 13.
