8-Car Crash Closes Section Of Interstate 215

RIVERSIDE, CA -- At least eight vehicles were involved in a chain crash Saturday on Interstate 215 in Riverside, causing an off-ramp closure. The crash was reported at 9:18 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway near Columbia Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Ambulances were summoned to the scene, according to a CHP incident report, but the extent of the injuries caused by the wreck were unclear.
The CHP closed the Columbia Avenue off-ramp while the involved vehicles were cleared from the roadway.
