MORENO VALLEY, CA — Two students suffered an unconfirmed illness on Wednesday morning at Canyon Springs High School in Moreno Valley. One of them was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokesperson Tara Fernandez told Patch.
The medical aid call was received shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Canyon Springs High School on Cougar Canyon Road, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Paramedics and an engine crew were sent to the location after staff in the campus Health Office reported that two youths required medical attention for unspecified reasons.
Officials at the scene said the students were unresponsive to questions and were taken by ambulance to nearby Riverside University Medical Center for further examination.
Their conditions reportedly were not life-threatening.
The Moreno Valley Unified School District did not immediately respond to questions about the students and their medical issues.
