I-215 Southbound Traffic Halted Into Murrieta Following Multiple Crashes

Several crashes on the I-215 southbound into Murrieta led to stalled freeway traffic Thursday morning.

MURRIETA, CA — The I-215 near Los Alamos Road stalled Thursday morning after a series of collisions, the California Highway Patrol dispatch reported.

Just after 9 a.m., a motorcycle collided with a Cadillac, just south of the Los Alamos exit, according to CHP. Moments later, a semi-truck also struck another vehicle, north of Los Alamos Road, according to dispatch operators.

The chain-reaction crashes slowed southbound traffic for over 45 minutes as CHP officers and tow trucks responded to the scene.

Southbound traffic was slowed for miles, to just north of Clinton Keith Road.

No injuries were immediately reported.
