MURRIETA, CA — A summer art and concert series at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve is returning this year as Plateau Palooza, a five-week event series featuring art, live music, food and community programming, according to event organizers.

The five-week concert series is presented by The Nature Education Foundation and will support youth nature education programs for students across Southwest Riverside County, according to the organization.

Plateau Palooza begins June 27 with an opening night event called “Lemonade & Canvas,” which will include a gourmet picnic dinner, live entertainment by Jason Weber and a curated art showcase at the Plateau.

The June event is described as a “sip, savor, and create” experience. This year will also mark the first time in the art show’s 26-year history that scholastic artists from local high schools will be featured.

On Saturday, July 11, and weekly through Aug. 1, the series will continue with themed concert nights featuring multiple musical styles, including Southern rock, country, 1980s music, and songs from the 1960s and 70s.

Scheduled local bands include:

July 11: The James Kelly Band,

July 18: The Cheeze Whiz Band,

July 25: The 1969 Band

Aug. 1: Pushin’ Daisies.

Guests can also expect an expanded art show, specialty wines, mocktails, limoncellos, craft beers and food offerings from specialty food trucks, according to The Nature Education Foundation.

Proceeds from the event series will support The Nature Education Foundation’s work to provide outdoor, hands-on learning experiences for students.

Executive Director Ginger Greaves spoke about the growth of this event and its need in the community.

“Plateau Palooza is about bringing people together in a beautiful, peaceful, natural setting while creating real impact for youth in our community,” Greaves said. “It’s a celebration of creativity, connection, and the next generation of environmental stewards.”

Individual general admission, season and VIP tickets are available, along with tickets for the Lemonade & Canvas opening night event.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets, sponsorship information and event details are available at www.tnefplateaupalooza.org.
