MURRIETA, CA — The City of Murrieta will hold its annual Memorial Day Observance Ceremony on Monday to honor fallen veterans.
"This meaningful ceremony will include remarks, a presentation of colors, keynote address, and a wreath-laying tribute in honor of our fallen heroes," city officials said on Facebook.
The City posted a reminder for residents about the ceremony on its Facebook page on Thursday.

The ceremony will include remarks from Mayor Jon Levell, a Presentation of Colors by Murrieta Valley High School Marine Corps JROTC, the National Anthem sung by singer-songwriter Ryan Valenzuela, and a keynote address by Sgt. Major Gerald Saunders Jr., Retired U.S. Marine Corps.
The ceremony will conclude with a wreath-laying tribute by Mayor Levell and Mayor Pro Tem Ron Holliday, city officials said.
The event, which begins at 8 a.m., will be held at the Murrieta Veterans Memorial at Town Square Park.
