5 Adults, 1 Child Displaced After 2 Homes Burn In Hemet Area

HEMET, CA — Firefighters quickly contained a blaze Tuesday afternoon that damaged two homes and displaced six people in the unincorporated Valle Vista area near Hemet, emergency officials said.

The fire was reported at 2:26 p.m. in the 44200 block of C Street, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Arriving crews found a structure fire that affected two residences before halting the flames. No injuries were reported among civilians or first responders.

The American Red Cross was called to assist the displaced residents, which include five adults and one child. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
