Choose from family movies, live R&B and soul music, a certified farmers market and one final weekend of water slides for Murrieta residents.

| Updated

MURRIETA, CA — Murrieta's official community calendar is relatively quiet this Labor Day weekend, but residents can still find family activities, live music and outdoor entertainment around town.

From a free movie afternoon at the Murrieta Public Library to concerts featuring Erin Stevenson, The Lovelites and Los Yesterdays, here are five things to do from Friday through Monday.

1. Enjoy The Final Summer Weekend At Mulligan Family Fun Center

Subscribe

Mulligan Family Fun Center is keeping its water attractions open through Labor Day weekend, giving families another chance to cool off before the summer season ends.

Other attractions include miniature golf, go-karts, laser tag, batting cages and arcade games. Attractions have separate height, weight and ticket requirements.

3. See Erin Stevenson Live At Monteleone Meadows

R&B and soul singer Erin Stevenson will perform with her band during an evening event at Monteleone Meadows. DJ Bad Boy will also provide music.

Stevenson has performed alongside artists including Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, Duran Duran and Jennifer Lopez.

4. Shop The Murrieta Certified Farmers Market

The weekly farmers market at Village Walk Plaza offers fresh produce, flowers, prepared foods and handcrafted goods from local vendors.

The market operates every Sunday throughout the year, rain or shine.

5. Hear The Lovelites And Los Yesterdays At Solaris

The Lovelites and Los Yesterdays will bring an evening of modern soul music to Solaris Beer & Blending on Sunday.

Los Yesterdays is a Los Angeles-based group inspired by classic soul, while The Lovelites draw from the sounds of Chicago soul and harmony groups.

Event schedules, prices and availability may change. Check directly with organizers before heading out. Murrieta City Hall and city facilities will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.
