"The Fastrak and three main lanes are closed on the 91
Freeway just north of the I-15 in Corona due to construction between I-15 and Serfas Club Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The closure caused a major backup to Tyler Street, with vehicles moving at a snail's pace.

Earlier on I-15, south of the 91 Freeway, a multi-car crash also slowed traffic near E. Ontario Avenue. Here, a gray Ford, a white Tesla, and another vehicle collided in the #1 lane. Three vehicles were involved, and one remained in the lanes.

The roadway began to clear by 9:15 a.m., according to CHP dispatch, and traffic through the area was in the green and good to go as of 10:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, in Temecula, city drivers attempting to join the I-15 northbound and southbound remained at a crawl through town. In early commute hours of 6 to 7 a.m., Rancho California Road was backed up to Ynez Road and beyond as commuters waited to merge onto the freeway.

Thus far, the improvements to the I-15 corridor through Temecula is good for those passing through but has become hectic for local commuters, Patch has learned.
