Applicants must submit three hard copies — one original and two duplicates — alongside an electronic copy on a USB flash drive. All submissions are due by 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 9, 2026.

The city will evaluate applications based on federal eligibility and align funding recommendations with city council priority areas: community food pantries, women's programs, domestic violence services, and youth development programs.

The Murrieta City Council is scheduled to consider final funding recommendations during its Dec. 1 meeting at 4 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Murrieta City Hall. Approved selections will then be submitted to Riverside County.

For application questions or additional information, interested parties can contact Isaac Bravo, management analyst in the City Manager's Office, at 951-461-6449 or IBravo@MurrietaCA.gov.

The CDBG program is a federal program run by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that provides annual grants to state and local governments to build stronger communities.
