MURRIETA, CA — Nine traffic crashes were reported in Murrieta on Halloween night, including three suspected DUIs, police said Sunday.
Officers from the Murrieta Police Department responded to nine crashes throughout the city between the hours of 5 p.m. and midnight, the police department announced on an Instagram post.
The department said rain also contributed to the large number of crashes.
"The rain isn't letting up anytime soon, and the roads are only getting more dangerous," police said Saturday night. "Getting to your destination a few minutes later is always better than not getting there at all."
It was not clear how many people were injured or arrested, or how many additional crashes the police department responded to after midnight.
