Average Cost of Murrieta-Area Gas is $2.79: AAA

RIVERSIDE, CA - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose one-tenth of a cent Wednesday to $2.799, the fifth consecutive day it has changed by one-tenth of a cent or been unchanged.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties dropped one- tenth of a cent on Saturday, was unchanged on Sunday and Tuesday and rose one- tenth of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is eight-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 1.1 cents lower than one month ago and 61.8 cents below one year ago.
