Average Gas Price Near Murrieta Now at $2.83

Average prices in the Inland Empire have been dropping for the last few days, AAA reports.

RIVERSIDE, CA - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped six-tenths of a cent Wednesday to $2.833, the third consecutive daily decrease after rising 34 times in 38 days.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties dropped one- tenth of a cent on Tuesday and two-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 34.6 cents higher than one month ago, but 34.1 cents less than one month ago.

The average price rose 52 cents during the stretch of 34 increases in 38 days. It dropped 71.3 cents during a stretch of 48 decreases in 49 days that immediately preceded the increases.
