Bob's Murrieta Pizza Co. to Bring Pies to 'Taste of the Valley'

Bob's Murrieta Pizza Co. is participating in Taste of The Valley/Murrieta Jazz Fest Sunday because it is "just another great event that directly benefits the community."

. has been serving up pizza pies since 2007 and it isn’t "just another pizza joint." 

Owned by a group of local families, this pizzeria, located at 41539 Kalmia St., is a popular spot for Murrieta sports teams and families.

"We are very community- and family-oriented here," said Holly Swift, director of public relations. "The owners live in and enjoy the community—they are always looking for new ways to help the community."

Swift gives this as a reason for participating in the Taste of the Valley Murrieta Jazz Fest. "This is just another great event that directly benefits the community," Swift said.

Set for Sunday at Murrieta's , Taste of the Valley/Murrieta Jazz Fest is a district-wide extravaganza benefiting all four middle school music programs, plus all three high schools.

The event features food from 25 local restaurateurs and caterers, beer and wine tasting. This will all be set to the sound of music with performances by jazz bands from and high schools and , along with several professional artists.

Bob’s Murrieta Pizza Co. will be on hand serving up samples of their meatballs and pizza pies, including cheese, sausage and their best seller, pepperoni. 

“Our pizzas are made with fresh ingredients; we make our sauce from scratch and hand-toss our dough,” Swift said. Along with pizza, they also serve specialty sandwiches, salads and wine.

With events and specials like beer pong, buy one get one free and a kids menu, it’s not just the food that makes Bob’s Murrieta Pizza Co. popular. 

"Every Sunday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. kids can tour the kitchen. Along with the tour kids can make their own personal pizza," Swift said. A drink is also included.

Bob's also offers a monthly pizza spotlight that customers get to invent and vote on. This month’s spotlight pizza is the “Wonger,” named after the family who created it. It consists of ranch dressing (instead of pizza sauce), cheese, chicken, bacon and avocado.

“Taste of the Valley” begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 at  in Murrieta. Admission is free and a book of 10 tastings is $20 per person. All proceeds from this event will benefit instrumental music programs at the participating schools. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
