Boys & Girls Club Seeks Support For Murrieta Clubhouse This Summer
The Oak View Ranch Clubhouse has released a list of much-needed items.
MURRIETA, CA — Murrieta's Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County is asking the community to help stock the Oak View Ranch Clubhouse with supplies for meals, snacks, arts and crafts, STEM projects, sports, games and daily youth activities this summer.
The clubhouse, serving the Temecula, Murrieta and Lake Elsinore area, released a wish list of needed items as part of its effort to “feed local futures," according to their wish list.
Requested donations include paper plates and bowls, napkins, plastic utensils, food storage containers, zip-top bags, aluminum foil, food service gloves, disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer.
The club is also seeking kitchen equipment, including electric griddles, hot plates, air fryers, slow cookers, toasters, mixing bowls, measuring cups and spoons, cutting boards, child-safe cooking utensils and serving trays.
For youth programs, the wish list includes construction paper, cardstock, markers, colored pencils, crayons, paint and brushes, glue sticks, scissors, poster boards, stickers, craft kits and beads or jewelry-making supplies.
STEM and educational items are also needed, including LEGO sets, building blocks, science experiment kits, robotics kits, coding activity kits, whiteboards and notebooks.
The clubhouse is also accepting sports and recreation supplies, including basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, kickballs, footballs, jump ropes, cones, hula hoops, playground balls and outdoor games.
Games and club activity donations may include board games, playing cards, puzzles, UNO cards, chess and checkers sets, table games, and prizes or incentives for youth members.
