Crime Victims Week 2013 - JUSTICE is meant to restore LIBERTY- the FREEDOM FROM control by fate...

There – IS NO JUSTICE, EVER, FOR ANY MURDERED VICTIM!  Each Victim’s LIFE has ended, and nothing of this world will affect them at all…  There is no justice for their Families, either.  Murder IS a DIRECT attack not only upon the life of the Murdered person, but ALSO upon the lives of those whom love them.  It affects every single aspect of their lives that they are now forced to live. No one will EVER feel better about this injustice that has been done to their loved one.  Not in any way, for as long as they live.  There is NO VERDICT that will change this to any of us…

Where once JUSTICE was meant to serve and protect all of society, it now  - ONLY SERVES TO PROTECT THE MURDERER!

As a VICTIM of murder, let me tell you the truth – THERE IS NO SATISFACTION IN ANY VERDICT WITHIN THE JUSTICE SYSTEM.

Society pretends to themselves, that IF a MURDERER is put to death, Victims find satisfaction from this.  It is simply not true, for any of us, EVER.  Society attacks, and accuses Victims of only seeking “eye for an eye” justice, ALWAYS, when discussing this. For SURELY we MUST want to seek revenge! 

My daughter Saskia was brutally stabbed to death.  Her MURDERER will simply have a needle inserted into his arm...  He will not endure the pain and horror of being stabbed all the way through his face, twice, breaking his 3 bottom molars out of his mouth; nor stabbed in the back, legs, feet, hands and finally his chest… Just kindly, gently put to death.  Something I wish HE would have considered, when he decided to MURDER ALL OF US.  That my Saskia could have so gently entered death, INSTEAD OF SO TERRORIZINGLY AND PAINFULLY FORCED TO ENDURE BEING MURDERED INTO DEATH! 

GIVING this SAME EXACT fate to Gary, which GARY CHOSE TO INFLICT UPON SASKIA is by definition - "eye for an eye".  We therefore, DO NOT see the Death Penalty to be ANY FORM OF RETRIBUTION AT ALL...  

This person, who has so unsanctimoniously taken everything from his victims, is too preciously protected all the way through the judicial process.  Our families have been decimated, our lives are forever destroyed, and yet society ALWAYS shows such sympathy and compassion to the MURDERERS who have taken everything from us.  The courts, only acknowledge the MURDERER inside this judicial system, AND NEVER THE VICTIMS…

The VICTIMS, are the one’s who on top of losing their loved one, and having their entire life destroyed, must now wait to see if they can possibly begin building this BRAND NEW LIFE GIVEN TO THEM BY THE MURDERER, as they endure years waiting for the MURDERER to be brought to trial.  These many IMMEDIATE years following the ultimate loss, horror and pain a person CAN be forced to experience in a lifetime, are now dragged out for Victims – from this judicial process, which continues to force us to relive this loss, horror and pain too many times for FAR TOO LONG.  Something that does not in any way, benefit the VICTIM.  It in fact, causes further damage and suffering.  But the court pays no mind to this, as it’s only interest lies with the MURDERER.  Protecting everything to them, and for them.

The BRUTALITY of crimes in the U.S. has risen drastically, and yet, the sentencing options are lessening each day.  Standing on the 'inside' of Murder, I find this to be completely unacceptable!  As I have listened to the 100's of stories of MURDER from Families and Survivors over this last year, I see too clearly how DANGEROUS losing the Death Penalty IS – to our entire society.

Prosecutors use the DP to obtain a 'plea bargain' from the MURDERER in some cases.  Saving cities and States millions of dollars in court costs each year.  Saving Survivors and Victim's Families from being forced to endure the anguish and torture of this excruciatingly lengthy wait for a trial...   SUPPOSEDLY, placing the MURDERER in Prison for LIFE.  AND - for those MURDERER’S who ARE A DANGEROUS THREAT TO EVERY LIFE THEY COME INTO CONTACT WITH?  The Death Penalty SERVES SOCIETY.   Stopping FOREVER - those most brutal and heinous MURDERERS  from ever killing again!

Society too often FAILS to understand the JUSTICE in this.  Because they do not understand THIS type of MURDERER…  Society has a NEED to believe, that ANYONE can be redeemed.  The unfortunate TRUTH is, NOT ALL CAN.  The Death Penalty STOPS them from killing, because THESE MURDERERS WILL, given any opportunity to, KILL AGAIN.  And placing them into a “Prison”, where there are so many LIVES to pick and choose from TO KILL?  Instead of taking them forever FROM the cookie jar, you are placing them INSIDE the cookie jar, where they are free to eat all the cookies they desire…

I stand in unique shoes as BOTH a Victim, and Mother of a Murdered Child...  And in the last year, I have spoken with 100's of people from BOTH GROUPS, and the unfortunate TRUTH in our country is that LIFE WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE - IS A LIE!  I FEAR the erosion of the Death Penalty in this country, because it opens the door to the erosion of LWOP!

In 2012, the DP and LWOP SENTENCES began being reviewed in cases where the MURDERER was 18 or younger...  And too many of these brutal and heinous MURDERERS will have their verdicts overturned simply because of AGE now, and be given the possibility for parole.  SOME – WILL ACTUALLY BE FREED INTO SOCIETY ONCE MORE, TO KILL AGAIN!  During the election last fall, AB 109 was passed, offering CRIMINALS local jail and supervised release rather than state prison for certain crimes.  The safety net of our JUSTICE SYSTEM is eroding quickly, and as it becomes EASIER BECAUSE OF THESE SOFTENED SENETENCES for CRIMINALS and MURDERERS alike to commit their crimes, WE WILL INDEED SEE AN INCREASE in BOTH…

We are IN FACT, in desperate NEED to FIX our JUSTICE SYSTEM.

But our society is ill equipped to fix ANYTHING…  And so, FOR OUR OWN PROTECTION AND SAFETY, we MUST hold onto this MOST BENEFICIAL SENTENCE FOR US ALL…

I AM NOW AND FOREVER condemned BY SIMPSON, to live the MOST UNIMAGINABLY HORRIFIC and PAIN FILLED existence, an existence that IS EVERYONE'S WORST NIGHTMARE in HELL...

True justice...

Would be to trade places with Simpson. That I could be set free of this life by death - AND HE COULD LIVE THIS UNIMAGINABLE NIGHTMARE IN HELL, AND SUFFER THIS MUCH WITH EACH BREATH!
