Spring is upon us and it is time to reorganize. One thing that I like to do is to take "one room at a time." I can get overwhelmed trying to take care of everything in just one day.
Day One: Sort through all of your old clothes! Rule of thumb, if you have not worn it for three months, chances are you never will! Talk to your neighbors and see if it is worth it to contact the Goodwill. If you can fill up a truck that they send, they will give you money. This money can be split evenly between the neighbors that participate. You can also donate to the Salvation Army or a local church.
Day Two: Clean one bathroom top to bottom! Clean out your drawers, a great way is to empty them and put the vacuum hose inside to get the mess out! Now arrange things in the order that you use them. You should also consider Home Goods. Purchase a couple of inexpensive baskets for your shampoos, conditioners and tolietries.

Day Three: Move to the next bathroom and repeat.
Day Four: Clean the kitchen. Move out your refrigerator and clean behind it. If you have a refrigerator in the garage start depending less on this and more on the refrigerator in your house. Eventually unplug the refrigerator in the garage to save enegry during the summer months. It costs a fortune to run a refrigerator in a hot garage all summer long.

Day Five: Clean and vacuum under beds. Now is also a good time to rearrange a room or two to give your home a fresh look.
Day Six: Splurge and give your washer and dryer a break. Go once to the laundromat and wash large rugs, comforters, bed sheets, linens, etc. Two or three hours at the laundromat is better than trying one load at a time at home!
Day Seven: Rest and enjoy your new home!
