Zig-Zagging, Lagging and Marathons
Lynda StarWriter shares a blurb about Cinco de Mayo, Toastmasters International and the Menifee Marathon.
I’d like to share my zig-zagging, geographic adventure through a few, open-air markets in Los Angeles with my friend, Loreῆa. Our journey took place BEFORE Cinco de Mayo. Then Mother’s Day rolled around; I HAD TO address that lofty topic in writing.
This week, our Menifee Toastmasters Club is hosting an OPEN HOUSE potluck slated for this Thursday, May 18: 12:00P – 1:05P, 27070 Sun City Blvd. Hence, the video depicts a typical meeting. Upon disseminating the above information, I ran across the ad for Menifee’s half-marathon and 5K, this Sunday, on the Menifee 24/7 website: http://www.menifee247.com.
Since I just want to bag all of the fluff stuff that goes along with any marathon event, I meant to click on the 5K run, but I couldn’t find it. So, if I’m spending a
100 bucks to pummel my ego, my knees and my feet, I’m gonna get my money’s
worth. What’s another seven miles and three hours tacked on to my Sunday
morning…jog?

Thus, my illustrious, historical article on Cinco de Mayo and Loreῆa’s culinary
skill (or my lack, thereof) can wait. If anyone has heard of the public speaking learning lab, Toastmasters International, I invite you to watch the three-minute commercial I composed and attached, at your leisure. If you get a chance, stop by on Thursday. We’d love to meet and greet you. Adios.
