Brush Fire Contained Near Murrieta's Northern Border With Menifee

MURRIETA, CA — Firefighters halted the forward progress of a 10.3-acre brush fire Sunday along Murrieta’s northern border with Menifee, preventing damage to nearby structures.
The fire was reported around 3:35 p.m. in the area of Keller and Gloria Roads.
Murrieta Fire & Rescue and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department deployed a full ground response alongside two firefighting aircraft under unified command to quickly contain the blaze.
No injuries were reported, and no structures were damaged or lost in the incident.
Fire crews remained at the scene for several hours to conduct mop-up operations. Officials advised that smoke was still visible near Interstate 215 and Keller Road while crews worked to fully extinguish hot spots.
Authorities are reminding residents to exercise caution during fire season, avoid activities that could ignite dry vegetation, and report any signs of smoke or fire immediately by calling 911.
