HEMET, CA — The Riverside Transit Agency is looking to hire dozens of drivers to operate its fleet of mid-size buses and will be holding a hiring event next month in Hemet to conduct on-the-spot interviews with applicants.

The recruitment campaign is scheduled for March 7 at the RTA facility at 700 Scaramella Circle, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at about 1 p.m., according to the agency.

The focus will be on recruiting up to 50 "community drivers" who can operate the 40-foot long buses that serve routes in western Riverside County, officials said.
