Event Details

Murrieta Public Library, 8 Town Square, Murrieta, CA, 92562

The Friends of the Murrieta Library welcome another prolific author, Rebecca Marshall Farnbach, to our Tuesday, June 16th, monthly General Meeting. Rebecca will have you dreaming of delicious foods paired with local wines, as she walks us through recipes from her Cookbooks and Temecula Wine pairings.

Ms Farnbach is a writer, speaker and an expert on the history of the Temecula Valley. She teaches the history component of the Mt. San Jacinto College course for Temecula Wine Country associates and has coauthored several local history books including “Images of America” and “Temecula Wine Country” She is one of the go-to people when you want to know about the history of the Temecula Valley in Southern California. Rebecca and her husband, Darell, give most of their free time and energy to preserving the historic adobe Wolf Store and Vail Ranch headquarters where the Butterfield Trail brought travelers into the Southern California fledgling town of Temecula.

Partnering with long-time residents of the valley, Rebecca has co-authored six local history books featuring vintage photographs and captions of the Temecula Wine Country, Old Town Temecula, Murrieta, Murrieta Hot Springs and Fallbrook. She has received numerous writing awards which she will share with us.

The Friends of the Murrieta Library currently meet on the third Tuesday of each month in the Library Lab during the Children’s Library Expansion Project. They invite you to visit the Library to check out a book written on any subject. Murrieta’s Award-Winning Library offers many resources, including Passport services, a Seed Library, Musical Instruments and so many unique amenities.

They also ask you to also stop by and purchase a book at our Town Square Used Book Store adjacent to the library or the Corner Store Used Book Store on Los Alamos at the Gateway Shopping Center. The proceeds from these book stores directly benefit the Murrieta Library.

Bring a friend and meet new FRIENDS. Light refreshments will be served at this free program. The Murrieta Library is located at 8 Town Square off Kalmia at Adams. For further information, visit our website www.murrietalibraryfriends.org
