Experience an afternoon of joyful music featuring renowned Klezmer musicians Yale Strom and Hot Pstromi. Presented by the Holocaust Remembrance Foundation of the Valley (hrfv.org), this special concert invites you to celebrate tradition and share joy for $36 per ticket.
So what is Klezmer music you ask? It is the musical equivalent of a Jewish family gathering - one minute it's laughing, the next it's crying, and somehow it's dancing the whole time.
Originating in the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe, Klezmer blends joyful melodies, soulful sighs, foot-stomping rhythms, and plenty of spirited improvisation. The clarinet often steals the show, sounding as if it's telling a funny story, sharing a heartfelt memory, and inviting everyone onto the dance floor all at once.
