MURRIETA, CA — The City of Murrieta is gearing up to get its pickleball courts back online with the addition of three new courts at the Alderwood Park Pickleball Courts located at 28610 Baxter Road.
A ribbon-cutting was planned for 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, at Alderwood Park. After the ribbon cutting, this location will have five fully operational pickleball courts.
"Grab your paddles! It's time to cut the ribbon and hit the courts," a city spokesperson wrote on social media. "Join us to celebrate the three added pickleball courts."
Construction has been underway at the park where two other pickleball courts already exist, according to the local city council. The upgrade will include the three new courts, fencing, landscaping, and shaded seating for spectators and waiting players alike, the construction agreement states.
