CDC celebrates Veteran's Day, calls attention to Murrieta small business owner success

VetLoan Advantage program

CDC Small Business Finance is celebrating Veterans Day Nov. 12 by calling attention to local veteran-owned small business that received VetLoan Advantage rebates on SBA financing this year.

Murrieta-based Waterstone Faucets, owned by Marine Corps veteran Chris Kuran, received a $3,000 rebate after the company received a $3.2 million SBA-504 loan to purchase a 42,000-square-foot building on Raintree Court. Waterstone, which manufactures upscale kitchen sink fixtures, is building three distinctive production lines in its new building. The expansion will generate 60 new manufacturing jobs.

CDC Small Business Finance is a nonprofit that partners with banks to help entrepreneurs buy their own building and large equipment. AmericanWest Bank partnered with CDC on the Waterstone SBA-504 financing.

“Veteran-owned small businesses employ nearly 5.8 million people nationwide, making the need for loan assistance vital to our economy,” said Phil Mulder, Inland Empire loan officer with CDC Small Business Finance. “These programs are our way of saying thanks to vets for their honorable service.”
