Construction Begins On Expansion At LLUMC In Murrieta
LLUMC said the project is being carefully phased to prevent interruptions.
MURRIETA, CA — Loma Linda University Medical Center's location in Murrieta has begun a 15-bed expansion project, the hospital announced on Thursday.
Existing space will be reconfigured to make room for the additional beds, as well as expand patient services, and include upgraded staff lounges, according to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Construction is currently underway on the hospital's third, fourth, and fifth floors.

LLUMC said the project is being carefully phased to prevent interruptions.
"Southwest Riverside region residents overwhelmingly want to receive their care at Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta," said Jonathan Jean-Marie, senior vice president and administrator of LLUMC Murrieta.

"This expansion project will serve as a foundational first step in addressing the growing need for whole person care in our region," he added.
The expansion project was funded by Loma Linda University Health's $310-million Stronger Together campaign, which is focused on improving education, healthcare, and research.
The hospital expansion is expected to be completed next year.
