Coroner ID's RivCo Woman Killed Crossing The Street Over The Weekend
The 53 year old woman was pronounced dead Saturday night.
HEMET, CA — The Riverside County Sheriff's Department Coroner's Bureau released the identity of a Hemet woman killed Saturday crossing the street at San Jacinto Street and Devonshire Avenue.
Shanna Webster, 53 of Hemet, died at the scene of the crash approximately 30 minutes after she was struck. Her identity was released after notification of next of kin, according to the coroner.
At 6 p.m., witnesses reported a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash where where Webster was found in the roadway. The driver remained at the scene, and cooperated with investigators. It was not immediately clear if Webster was crossing one of the three crosswalks at that intersection at the time of the collision.

"The preliminary investigation revealed that the woman entered the roadway for unknown reasons , and a collision occurred," a spokesperson for the department shared. "Impaired driving is not suspected."
