Coroner IDs Woman, 83, Killed In Murrieta Crash

A wrong-way driver is believed to be the cause of Sunday's fatal Murrieta crash.

MURRIETA, CA — The Riverside County coroner's bureau identified an 83-year-old Winchester woman killed in a head-on collision.

Lilia Seno was identified as the victim of the collision, the bureau reported. She was pronounced dead at Inland Valley Medical Center about an hour after the crash.

The head-on collision was reported around 6:45 a.m. Sunday on Whitewood Road, south of Clinton Keith Road, the Murrieta Police Department said.

Both involved drivers were rushed to a hospital, where they had stable vital signs.

Seno was a passenger in one of the vehicles, police said.

Investigators believe one of the vehicles was traveling on the wrong side of the road before the crash, police said.

Speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash, and according to Murrieta police statements, no evidence of driver impairment was found.
