Discovery Isle Preschool Students Give Back This Holiday Season

Students collected 600 pounds of food and 88 pairs of pajamas to spread holiday cheer to their local community

Students at Discovery Isle in Murrieta gave back to their community this holiday season during various donation drives to support those in need. In November, students held a food drive for the Community Food Pantry of Murrieta and collected 600 pounds of nonperishable food items to help stock the organization’s shelves. The school surpassed its donations from last year by over 230 pounds.

In December, Discovery Isle students held a pajama drive in partnership with Scholastic Book Club’s Annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive to provide pajamas to children in need. Students collected 88 pairs of pajamas for the charity, which donates a new book for each pair of pajamas donated. Through these initiatives, students learned the value of giving back to those in need in their community.
