Donna Montes...A JOYFUL WOMAN

The woman whose life was taken during a tragic car accident this Thursday, was my very dear friend...A wife, mother, Pre-School Teacher ....

One of the first things one would learn from getting aquainted with Donna, is her Laughter! Donna never knew a stranger, but all who knew her considered her a friend. We were raising our boys in the same Bellflower CA neighborhood where they attended BHS and became very involved with the BHS Instrumental Music Program supported by Bellflower Band Boosters and directed by Tim McElearney at the time.

Donna and I worked together for a local call center for a worldwide Evangelical Christian Ministry called: LIVING WATERS PUBLICATIONS/The Way of the Master. From the first day Donna joined us, she became part of our family. She was bright, whitty, genuine... and a very hard worker. Outside of work, we spent our afternoons walking together at nearby Rynerson Park where we would walk and talk 3 miles and before we knew it, our time to get back home and cook for our families had arrived. Donna was one of those unique and very special individuals who brought the sunshine from outside, into every relationship she had.

God was first in Donna's life as she daily practised her Faith, praying for and encouraging those around her. Donna's 2 sons: John and Abraham were what she lived for and she was a very devoted wife to her husband Francisco. She will be so very much missed by all who loved her.

I will miss so much about this beautiful woman of God; Donna's ability to laugh with you, cry with you and support you with a heart full of love is to be admired. The sudden loss of Donna's life and especially the tragic accident which took her life, will bring sadness to many within the community, and to those of us who have been fortunate enough to carry her heart full of love and laughter with us into other communities across this nation.
