Double Homicide Reported Off Ramona Expressway
Sheriff's officials say a man and a woman were found shot in a vehicle.

SAN JACINTO, CA — Riverside County sheriff's officials are investigating a double murder in the San Jacinto area after a man and a woman were found shot inside a vehicle. The duo, who were not immediately identified, were discovered Wednesday and taken to to the hospital, where they later died, according to sheriff's officials.
Sheriff's deputies responded just before noon Wednesday to the area of Ramona Expressway and Warren Road for an "unknown trouble" call, according to Sgt. Walter Mendez.
"Deputies arrived and located two adult victims, male and female, shot in their vehicle," Mendez said in a news release Thursday. "Both victims received medical aid on scene and were transported to a local hospital, but they succumbed to their injuries."

The sheriff's central homicide unit has taken over the investigation, and authorities are asking for help in the case.
"If you were travelling in the area of Ramona Expwy. and Warren Rd. and saw anything possibly related to this incident you are encouraged to please call Investigator Gomez of the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit at (760) 393-3527," Mendez said in the news release.
