A 3.5 magnitude earthquake rattled parts of Riverside and Orange counties at 3:24 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

MURRIETA, CA— A 3.5 magnitude earthquake rattled parts of Riverside and Orange counties at 3:24 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake's epicenter was identified about 8 miles northeast of Trabuco Canyon in eastern Orange County, according to USGS.

The quick jolt was felt in Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, Temecula, Wildomar and as far away as Rancho Cucamonga.
