The Gem of the Valley Art Association would like to invite the public to join them at their next meeting scheduled for Monday April 1st 2013, at the Murrieta Senior Center, 41717 Juniper Street, Murrieta, from 1:30-3:45.
he GEM is honored to welcome multi award winning pastel and oil painting artist Shelby Skinner to our April 1st meeting.
Ms. Skinner grew up on a farm in the Midwest which inspired her love of animals. When the demands of life allowed enough time, she began taking art classes as a hobby. Over time, she gained new skills and confidence with each new piece, and began successfully showing her paintings in the San Diego area. Her paintings are characterized by an exquisite sense of beauty and attention to detail. Ms. Skinner has a studio in Temecula where she teaches classes in pastels. Bring your friends and fellow artists for an exciting and informative demonstration!
Members are encouraged to enter their paintings which are judged each month by the demonstrator. Categories include Masters, Original and Non-original. For information call (951) 677-3604.
