For kids, ages 7
to 17, interested in learning/improving in the performing arts. Under the
direction of Matthew Malecki, local veteran award winning performer, these
classes are designed to motivate and teach the fundamentals to help you reach a
higher level of theater. We strive to improve the singing, acting, and
performing skills, but more importantly, to build confidence! The camp will be
two weeks, meeting three times a week over our winter break. You may sign up
and register the first day of camp, but pre-registration is recommended. Dates are Dec 19, 21, 22, 26,8 and 29th.
The Staff
Matthew Malecki, a graduate of Vista Murrieta High School
and a musical theatre major at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los
Angeles, was named “Artist of the Year” by the National Youth Theatre
Association for his performances in multiple roles throughout the year. These
include Tony in West Side Story, Javert in Les Miserables, Jimmy
in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ
Superstar, and most recently Sweeney
Todd in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Matthew has won
numerous ITL awards, NYT awards, rotary competitions, and scholarships
throughout the area.
