Family Of 5 Living In Trailer Displaced By Fire: Menifee

MENIFEE, CA — A family of five was left homeless Thursday after a fire tore through their single-wide trailer in Menifee.

The non-injury blaze was reported about 1:20 p.m. in the 25500 block of 3rd Street, near Antelope Road, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Five engine crews and a truck company reached the location within a few minutes and encountered flames along the backside of the travel trailer, from which the occupants safely evacuated. Firefighters knocked down the blaze less than 30 minutes later, but damage was significant, according to reports from the scene.

A man, woman, two girls and a boy were displaced by the fire, and American Red Cross personnel were summoned to help them find temporary accommodations.
