Feather Alert Issued For Missing 14-Year-Old Girl From Murrieta: CHP
The missing teen is believed to be on foot, according to the CHP.
MURRIETA, CA — Authorities are searching for a missing 14-year-old Native American girl from Murrieta.
Brooklyn Salvesen was last seen on Sept. 1 around 1:40 p.m. near Nighthawk Way and Washington Avenue in Murrieta, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP issued a Feather Alert Friday on behalf of the Murrieta Police Department. The CHP was notified on Sept. 4, according to the agency.
Feather Alerts are activated when a missing person is indigenous. Brooklyn's tribal affiliation was not specified.
Brooklyn was described as 5 feet, 1 inch tall and 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and black shoes. She is believed to be on foot, according to the CHP.
No additional information was immediately available.
Anyone with information regarding Brooklyn's whereabouts was asked to call 911.
