Fire Near Winchester Burns 15 Acres

WINCHESTER, CA - Firefighters stopped a 15- acre blaze from marching south of Winchester Sunday amid sweltering heat and Red Flag Warnings.

The blaze was reported at 12:48 p.m. near the intersection of Winchester and Scott roads, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Fire officials said 11 engine companies, four hand crews and air resources were dispatched to the scene.
