'Five Below' Sets Murrieta Opening Day, Announces Festivities

MURRIETA, CA — Bargain shoppers, rejoice. A new store is coming to Murrieta featuring an assortment of products, all priced at $5 or less. Fittingly, the store is named Five Below.

The store is set to open on Aug. 18 at 9 a.m., company officials tell Patch. And to celebrate, they have a fun lineup of festivities planned for the first few days.

On Friday, Aug. 18, the first 100 people in line will receive a mystery scratch-off ticket that may be valued up to $100. On the same day, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., they'll have someone set up selling 5 cent hot dogs. The hot dog vending will continue on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Shoppers who hit Five Below anytime from Friday through Sunday will also get a free "cinch sack" with any purchase, be treated to trivia games and in-store activities and can also enter to win a $100 shopping spree sweepstakes, company officials say.

Five Below is located at 40473 Murrieta Hot Springs Rd., right off the 215 freeway, near Marshalls. Some 30 people were being hired for the store, according to representatives.
