Flag Football Assessments Set For Next Week

Assessments for the flag football league activity this summer at the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County will take place next week.
The assessments are meant to test various skills and talents of the children and in no way are meant to be competitive.
"Everybody gets accepted," Murrieta Clubhouse Manager Samantha Porter told Patch by telephone.
"Its more emphasis of trying to teach the fundamentals of the game.
"It’s non competitive," Porter said.

The cost of the activity -- if one registers by Friday and avoids $11 late fee -- is $85 for the league and $25 for membership; one must be a member to partake in the league.
Parents can register their children at Temecula's Great Oak Clubhouse, 31465 Via Cordoba.
Children ages 4 and 5 do not need assessments.

Assessment days for older children are as follows:
- Tuesday, June 18, Ages 6-8
- Wednesday, June 19th, Ages 9-11
- Thursday, June 20th, Ages 12-14
