Gas Prices Hit 9-Month Low Near Murrieta

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped to its lowest amount since Feb. 18 Friday, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $2.85.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has dropped five times in the past seven days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.8 cents less than one week ago, 9.2 cents lower than one month ago and 32.5 cents below what it was one year ago.

“The LA wholesale market seems to have settled down from last week, but retail prices really haven’t reflected the wholesale drop,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
