Gas Prices Near Murrieta Reach 5-Month High

Prices are the highest they've been since mid-January, according to AAA.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose Thursday to its highest amount since Jan. 18, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $2.909.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has risen 11 of the past 12 days, increasing 7.2 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 4.2 cents more than one week ago and 11.2 cents higher than one month ago but 58.5 cents less than one year ago.
