Gasoline Price Near Murrieta Drops to Lowest Amount Since May 2009

Inland Empire prices fall again.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped Monday to its lowest amount since May 21, 2009, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $2.583.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has dropped seven times in eight days and is 5.6 cents less than one week ago, 33.2 cents lower than one month ago and $1.083 below what it was one year ago what it was one year ago.

The dropping pump prices are the result of wholesale gasoline prices declining “to their lowest level in nearly six years,” said Jeffrey Spring, the corporate communications manager of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
