Grammy-Nominated Murrieta Realtor, Author Co-Hosts Radio Show

Sandy Peckinpah's book about redesigning one's bedroom to ignite passion has turned into a multimedia effort to help enhance lives.

Sandy Peckinpah of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Murrieta is much more than a realtor.

Peckinpah has authored and co-authored a number of books dealing with motivation and inspiration, one of which was turned into a spoken word CD and subsequently nominated for a Grammy.

"Rosie...the Imperfect Angel," was written by Peckinpah after her daughter was born with a cleft lip. The book is about children with facial defects. In 1993, when it was written, Peckinpah visited schools with actress Melissa Gilbert, reading the story to children.

Twenty years later, the book was reproduced as spoken word CD by one of those students, and it was that product that was nominated for two Grammys, Peckinpah said.

She also has experience as a television actress, being the wife of late CBS producer David Peckinpah, who was executive producer and writer of several television series, including "Beauty and the Beast" (CBS), "Silk Stalkings" and "Sliders," and numerous television movies.

Her latest venture is a multimedia experience called “Passion by Design.”

Originally a book about awakening ardor through redesigning one’s bedroom, Peckinpah and co-author Paula McChesney have taken their ideas to the airwaves. They can be heard for one hour every Wednesday at 2 p.m. on KNRY, AM 1240 radio in Northern California as well as streaming live on the internet at www.KNRY.com. Archived shows also air on their recently launched website discussing how to live a passionate life.

“We often invite guests onto our show to share their expertise and inspiration,” Peckinpah said in a news release. “Sometimes, it’s just the two of us having a great conversation about designing a beautiful life—winding through the ups and downs in today’s world.”

“I try to focus on projects that make a difference in people’s lives,” Peckinpah said. “Real estate is a reflection of the common thread in my own life—the inherent joy of working with people and bringing their goals and dreams to fruition..."

Peckinpah has worked out of the Murrieta Coldwell Banker office for eight years.
