Josh and I are both 32 years old and have been married for 3 years. On May 31st, 2017, we had triplets, three beautiful boys. The pregnancy was very complicated and worrying from the beginning. Our children, Tyler Wade Harding, Carter Alan Harding & Julian Cole Harding, were born at 27 weeks 2 days and are considered to be “extreme preterm”. All three have major respiratory issues and need 24 hour oxygen support. This also puts them at higher risk for serious illnesses such as pneumonia, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and influenza. Julian is the smallest and is below the 1st percentile in both height and weight. Carter is unable to swallow properly and can easily choke without making any sound whatsoever. Because of this, he eats through a tube in his tummy. Tyler has neurological issues. The severity of his issues, and any resulting developmental disabilities are still unknown. So far, he has had three major neurosurgeries, suffered through multiple infections, and still suffers from seizures. While Julian and Carter have come home already, Tyler is still in the hospital.Throughout this journey, we exhausted our savings and our credit due to unforeseen issues. The air conditioning in our house needed to be completely replaced in the middle of a record-breaking heat wave. We had to get a special van to transport three children with special needs-oxygen equipment and feeding equipment. Josh used up much of his sick time at work to take care of me since I was bed-ridden most of the pregnancy. It is very difficult for Josh and me to open up to others about these very traumatic and very private matters. It is even more difficult for us to reach out for help. So we are now asking for donations to help make the monthly loan payments for the van and pay for gas to and from the hospital. With so many issues, they have multiple specialist visits each week, in addition to frequent checkups to monitor weight gain and development. Anything extra will help pay for these hospital visits (sometimes more than $120 / week), and necessities like diapers, wipes and baby formula. This is just a brief summary of our journey. We would love for you to take some time to read the full story below
