In Southwestern League boys' soccer action on Thursday, the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks shut out Murrieta Mesa 2-0 behind goals from Brandon Sanchez and Chad Anderson. Murrieta Valley improves to 2-0 in league and 3-8-1 overall. The Rams drop to 0-2 and 3-6-1 overall.
The Vista Murrieta boys' team dropped a 2-0 decision to Great Oak. The Broncos are now 5-5-5 overall and 1-1 in SWL play.
In girls' soccer, Vista Murrieta shut out Great Oak 1-0 as Ashley Johnson had the lone goal. The Broncos are now 1-1 and 12-3-1 overall.
Murrieta Mesa defeated Murrieta Valley 2-1. The Rams are now 1-1 in league and 9-2 overall while the Nighthawks dropped to 0-2 in league and 8-4-3 overall.
