Hurry to the Pumps! Streak of Rising Gas Prices Near Murrieta Ends

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties rose 5.4 cents during the nine-day streak, analysts said.

A nine-day streak of increases to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire ended Friday with a decrease of one-tenth of a cent to $2.645.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties rose 5.4 cents during the streak, including three-tenths of a cent on both Wednesday and Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The increases began one day after the end of a 35-day streak of decreases totaling 30.1 cents, which dropped the average price to its lowest amount since March 11.

The average price is 3.2 cents more than one week ago but 15.2 cents less than one month ago and 93.7 cents lower than one year ago.
