Icemen Basketball Outlasts Competition in LA Tourney

Icemen cooled the competition with a 5-2 finish in the biggest summer stop for college recruiters.

Icemen Basketball Club finished the college viewing period with a 5-2, outlasting the competition with an elite eight performance in the Double Pump Best of Summer Tournament last weekend in Anaheim.

Playing in front of college coaches, the Icemen beat teams from Utah, Los Angeles and Oregon, said head coach Todd Malecki.

Top performers were Davin Guinn and Jordan Perry of Vista Murrieta High School, Tom Folsom of Patriot High School and Dylan Martin of Chaparral High School.

The Double Pump tourney is the biggest stop for college recruiters in the AAU summer circuit, according to the event website.

Based in Murrieta, Icemen Basketball Club is a group of high school basketball players from Murrieta, Temecula and Riverside.
