Inland Empire Average Gasoline Price Drops for 16th Consecutive Day

Recent price decreases follow a much longer streak of increases.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped Sunday for the 16th consecutive day following a 35-day streak of increases, decreasing 1.6 cents to $3.298.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has dropped 18.7 cents over the past 16 days, including 1.7 cents on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

It rose $1.087 during the 35-day streak of increases.

The average price is 11.8 cents less than one week ago and 70.3 cents lower than one year ago but 30.2 cents higher than one month ago.
