Inland Empire Gasoline Price Drops to Lowest Amount Since Feb. 17

The average price is 2.2 cents less than one week ago.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped nine-tenths of a cent Friday to $3.765, the largest daily decrease since Aug. 14.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has decreased 61 of the past 66 days, dropping 38.4 cents over that span to its lowest amount since Feb. 19, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.2 cents less than one week ago, 10.2 cents lower than one month ago and 17.7 cents below what it was one year ago.

“The height of fuel demand for the year has passed and reportedly was not as robust as expected by analysts,” said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.

“Since California is not experiencing any supply problems at the moment and demand is winding down, prices continue to drop. Wholesale prices have dropped about 20 cents since the beginning of September.”
