The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped Monday to its lowest amount since July 31, 2009, decreasing 1 cent to $2.862.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has dropped 71 of the past 73 days, decreasing 80 cents over that span, including 2.4 cents on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 12.2 cents less than one week ago, 29.8 cents lower than one month ago and 75.5 cents below what it was one year ago.
