Inland Empire Gasoline Price Records Rare Increase

Before Monday, the average price of gas in Riverside and San Bernardino counties had decreased 57 times in the previous 61 days.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose Monday for the third time since July 9, increasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.786.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties had decreased 57 times in the previous 61 days, dropping to its lowest amount since Feb. 19, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose one-tenth of a cent on Aug. 12 and two-tenths of a cent Aug. 30 and was unchanged Aug. 18 and Sunday.

The average price is 1 cent less than one week ago, 10.1 cents lower than one month ago and 6.9 cents below what it was one year ago.
